Skiing in the Karkonosze

Skiing in the Karkonosze

Ski enthusiasts enjoy 20 lifts, with six located on the slopes of Szrenica, overlooking over the city.

T-bar lifts, and one two section chairlift, were constructed in 1962 and have been repeatedly modernised so that they able to carry more than 1400 people per hour to the summit.

2010 saw the newly opened chairlift “Karkonosze Express”. Our six-couch lift is the longest and most modern of it’s kind, in Poland, with a length is 2,393 m. Skiers get to the top in just eight and a half minutes.

The upper station is located close to the Christmas Stone slopes, between Lolobrygida and Śnieżynka. Almost 2,000 people can reach the summit within an hour.

5 pistes, of over 10km, are available, on the Szrenica slopes, offering ski trails for skiers of varying experience.
