Located near Padstow and Porthcothan, this 1930′s residence is almost on the beach, and well located for walking, cycling and surfing activities.

  • Our ‘Outside the Classroom’ tours reflect the location and the environment of our YHA Hostels – however – we are anxious to emphasise that, within reason, we are able to tailor make the content of your tour to meet your specific requirements. You can balance study with activity and there is always a degree of ‘pick and mix.’

Key Stages 2, 3 and 4

Students learn beach environment and geography skills with a guided beach walk.

Discover the role of the beach lifeguard recognising and helping people in distress as well as  gaining basic first aid skills. Surfing lessons and beach games take place during the afternoon session with the second day’s activity has cycling along the Camel Valley trail exploring a unique estuarine environment.
